DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS

To hold a reservation, a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit in the amount of $1.000.00 (US dollars only) is required to confirm your participation with WBAI JOURNEYS.

 

The deadline for your deposit is Friday August 30, 2019.  You can pay thru the WBAI site: www.give2WBAI.org.  The remaining balance is due in 30 Days prior to departure on Sunday, October 6, 2019.  

If you prefer you have the option of paying for the full amount of the tour. 

 

If you wish to send a check, please make to the order of: Pacifica – WBAI and mail to: Attention: Berthold Reimers – Peru Trip WBAI Radio 388 Atlantic Avenue, 3rd Floor Brooklyn, NY 11217.  Reservations are confirmed once the payments are cleared from WBAI bank account.

Prices are $3,525.00 per person, non-smoking, for double room occupancy, unless otherwise specified or $3,785.00 for single room occupancy. Requests for single room occupancy specifically shall be made by March 15, 2019. The payment plan is as follows:

 

 

 

 

We reserve the right to invoice or re-invoice participants for the correct price, in case of typo, computer, or human error.

CANCELLATIONS POLICY:

Due to ‘prepayment non-refundable’ lodging, train, entrance fees, etc., requirements in the country we are traveling to, payments are subject to the following schedule:

Schedule to reserve your space and payment dates and cancellation:

  • Friday, August 30, 2019 is the deadline for a full refund.

  • Friday, August 30, 2019 is the deadline for deposit of $1,000.00 if you are not on the above PAYMENT PLAN.  Deposit is Non-refundable at this point.

  • 30 Days prior to departure on Sunday, October 6, 2019 - Remaining Balance is Due.

  • October 6, 2019 Half of the total cost of the trip is non-refundable unless WBAI cancels the trip.

 

All cancellations must be received in writing to WBAI via Email. Cancellations will be effective based on the following: Email cancellations received by Noon Eastern Standard Time USA will be treated as received on that day, Emails received after 12:00 Noon will be treated as received on the following day. When WBAI has received, accepted and validated your cancelation request, we will reply back to you. We strongly encourage you to obtain travel insurance to cover any possibility of cancellation. Travel insurance carriers are listed in the Travel & Medical Insurance section below.

 

May through October is a busy tourist season. It is essential to book hotels, trains, and the entrance fee to any sites on the tour preferably three months in advance to insure bookings and for everything to run smoothly.  Therefore we ask you to register as soon as possible.

 

MEDICAL AND TRAVEL INSURANCE:
In the event that you may need to cancel or interrupt your trip we strongly recommend Travel Insurance. In the event that you should need emergency medical treatment during your trip, we recommend that you protect yourself with Emergency Medical Insurance. Standard insurance typically does not cover international incidents, personal accidents, accidental death, and emergency repatriation and we urge you to review your policy with your insurance provider. You may also want to insure your possessions as we and our partners and suppliers are not liable for any loss, theft, or damage that may occur. We recommend that you purchase travel and medical insurance which includes accident, accidental death, and baggage loss from a third party insurance carrier such as the ones listed below for all your travel insurance needs:

REGISTRATION:

Once you have registered, please allow us 24 hours to confirm your registration and welcome you to the tour.  

 

NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES:
We reserve the right to cancel or change any aspect of the itinerary at any time, and for any reason. When necessary, we will substitute hotels, and events and we will keep the same quality as per the original in the itinerary. In general the itinerary on the WBAI website should be treated as a basic guideline. A final pre-trip itinerary will be emailed to you approximately between one and two weeks prior to departure.

If the tour fails to achieve minimum participation, we reserve the right to cancel the tour and refund any deposits received. Should it be necessary to cancel a tour, we will not be responsible for cancellation penalties incurred on other travel arrangements made directly by the guest, non-refundable or otherwise; and, any fee or charges incurred for payments made via credit card.  Should we need to cancel a trip we will notify you on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, and you will be refunded in total.

Should a tour participant miss a scheduled flight or other mode of transportation for any reason, we are not responsible for the expenses incurred due to missed transportation on the tour.

SPECIAL SITUATIONS AND REQUESTS
The Tour Operator makes no Guarantee that we can ensure any request for dietary needs, room preferences, or local land travel arrangements. These situations are determined solely by the capacity and ability of our suppliers. 

 

ROOMMATES
If a tour participant does not have a roommate to share a double room price, the tour organizer will attempt to match that tour participant with a roommate. The tour organizer cannot guarantee that a roommate will be found. If no roommate is found, then the single-room supplement of $260.00 must be paid by the tour participant prior to the start of the trip. (See payment plan schedule above). By August 21, 2019 WBAI will inform you of the availability of a double room occupancy and it will be your decision to pay the extra for a single room if a double room is not available. We will inform you by e-mail and by phone.

 

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
• US citizens must have a Passport valid for a minimum of six months after re-entry into the USA. Please check the Embassy of the country that we are visiting. (For Peru the website is: http://www.embassyofperu.org/)
• Non-US citizens must ask the relevant Consulate in their country for entry/exit requirements.
• We suggest that you verify visa requirements with the US Dept of State prior to your trip. (No visa is required for Peru.)
• Each tour participant who is traveling from outside of the United States is responsible for checking with their Consulate for the specific passport and visa requirements in the participant’s country of origin and for obtaining the necessary documents prior to departure.
• Travel information including final pre-trip itinerary will be emailed to you approximately between one and two weeks prior to departure.

 

DISCLAIMERS
• WBAI JOURNEYS has no special knowledge of the financial condition of our suppliers, unsafe conditions, hazards of health or weather, or climate extremes in places to which you may travel. For up to date information, we suggest contacting the US State Department or Centers for Disease Control.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK, RELEASING LIABILITY, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT


This agreement is between WBAI, Inner Journeys Travel LLC, its owners, employees, coaches, guides, facilitators, shamans, consultants, presenters, partners, and ground operators and carriers (the tour operator) on the one part, and the Participant on the other part (the “Participant” and the Participant’s dependent’s and/or family members and/or any minor child (on whose behalf the Participant have signed this form), and legal representatives. By accepting the terms below, the participant agrees to the assumption of risk, the release of liability, and indemnity as per this agreement.

The Participant waives all claims of any nature whatsoever which the Participant or his/her Estate may have against WBAI, Inner Journeys Travel LLC, its owners, employees, coaches, guides, facilitators, shamans, consultants, presenters, partners, and ground operators and carriers (the tour operator) arising from the death of, or injury to the Participant or the loss of or damage to any property occasioned during the participation in the tour, notwithstanding that such death or injury or loss or damage has been occasioned by any negligence on the part of the tour operator.

The Participant waives all claims of any nature whatsoever for any delays, delayed departure or arrival, loss, death, damage or injury to a passenger or their property or accident of any sort, mechanical defect, failure or negligence or failure-to-act of any nature howsoever caused in connection with accommodations, transportation/travel, or other services or for any substitution of hotels or of common carrier, with or without notice, or for any additional expenses occasioned thereby.

No children under 18 will be allowed on the tours without a parent.

I understand that any personal advice or answers to my questions that are given to me on this Tour are for entertainment purposes only. I release WBAI and the tour operator from any injuries or damages mentally or physically that I or any of my family members might incur during or after this Tour as a result of following any advice given to me on this Tour;

 

The participant certifies that she/he has no physical, mental or other conditions of disability that would create a hazard for him/herself or other passengers and agrees to participate in this tour at his/her own risk. The participant agrees to notify (in writing) the tour operator of any change in their medical circumstances;

The participant is fully aware that during the tour we will walk and/or hike for several hours at a stretch. Some of the walking/hiking may include short and long, steep ascents and descends, climbing several flights of stairs, and navigating uneven terrain indoors and uneven rocky terrain outdoors. We may experience mist or rain, and wet grounds during the tour.

 

The participant agrees to implement caution and thoughtfulness for him/herself and or others during this tour and indemnify WBAI and Inner Journeys Travel LLC against claims for any injury or loss arising out of his/her conduct during the tour;

 

The participant understands that the Trip Leader is not responsible for the behavior of any other tour participant towards you;

 

The participant will respect the individuals in the group at all times. If during the tour, the participant should engage in any kind of hazardous activity to him/herself or to other passengers or use illegal or recreational drugs, the participant understands that they will be removed from the tour at their additional financial expense. WBAI and Inner

 

Journeys Travel LLC is not responsible for reimbursements or loss of personal of property;

In the event of a medical emergency, the participant will be accompanied by the Trip Leader to the nearest medical facility;

 

The participant is fully aware that WBAI and Inner Journeys Travel LLC does not provide medical insurance nor do we cover the costs for participants in the event of illness or injury requiring medical treatment prior/during/post trip;

Participant agrees that electronic and faxed copies of any documents with signatures shall be treated as original. At our request, you agree to provide the signed original as well.

 

I have read and understood the Terms And Conditions in this agreement and its implications in law, and I acknowledge that I am fully aware of the risks involved in taking this Tour; and, I acknowledge that I am fully aware of the risks involved in traveling to the remote mountainous terrains of the Andes Mountains and I agree to accept the Terms And Conditions of the WBAI and the Inner Journeys Travel LLC Tour Operator, as specified herein; By registering for this tour and signing this contract with WBAI and the tour operator (Inner Journeys Travel LLC, its owners, employees, coaches, guides, facilitators, shamans, consultants, presenters, partners, and ground operators and carriers), I the Participant, and the Participant’s dependent’s and/or family members and/or any minor child (on whose behalf the Participant have signed this form), or legal representatives, release of said responsibility and agree to the assumption of risk, the release of liability, and indemnity as per this agreement.

 

This contract is governed by laws of California.
